Roteiros do Fogo  are cultural and natural routes that, built through a participatory approach, aim to promote this spectacular island. .

Participatory mapping and identification of new hiking trails are activities supported by Rotas do Fogo and F.A.T.A. projects, co-funded by European Union.

Fogo biodiversity is rich with several endemisms. We would like also promote Ecoturism  for the conservation of this wonderful environment

Ecotourism Project

Project co-funded by the European Union, realized by COSPE in partnership with the Municipal Chamber of Mosteiros, the Natural Park of Fogo, the NGO CERAI, the Association of Tourist Guides of Cha das Caldeiras (AGTC) and the Union of Municipalities of Garfagnana , which is also associated with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ebvironment of Cape Verde and its delegation on the Island of Fogo, the Tourism Directorate-General and the Municipal Chambers of Sao Filipe and Santa Catarina. The activities aim to improve the socio-economic and environmental protection conditions in the rural areas of the Fogo Island, by diversifying and improving the eco-tourism offer, such as the promotion of rural tourism (in particular the Farm model), the dissemination and enhancement of typical local products, the involvement of Civil Society in land planning and operational synergies between public and private sectors.
